Antique Victorian 12ct gold emerald garnet cluster ring, UK M, US 6.25-6.5

An absolutely gorgeous antique Victorian ring in 12ct gold ring set with a central dark green emerald surrounded by deep red garnets, highly decorative shoulders with scrolled open work and an engraved band. It has a locket space at the back which may have contained a glass retainer holding a lock of hair which has been lost to time and will forever remain a mystery. This ring has been worn and loved, there is a crack to the underside of one of the shoulders (see photos) so wearable on occasions with great care, she holds secrets of her past lives, a fascinating piece of jewellery history. 
The gems are tested with a presidium gem tester, the middle green stone also shows as chrysoprase, jadeite and peridot.
