Vintage 18ct gold diamond 5 stone bezel set ring

A gorgeous 18ct yellow gold five stone diamond ring, the diamonds are bezel set in platinum making this a smooth and slender ring perfect for stacking. It is stamped 18ct gold and tests as such, it has had a later 9ct hallmark added which I can only imagine is a mistake by a jeweller perhaps when it was historically resized. There are 50 points of sparkly old European cut diamonds, a UK size P.5, US 8-8.25, setting measures 16mm x 3.8mm, 2.5mm high.
